I’ve been quiet for awhile. I haven’t written too much. In October, I thought I might a fantasy novel later, so I started planning out things: making notes, starting an outline, and developing characters. I thought I might use it for NaNoWriMo, an annual contest to write 50,000 words in the month of November, but I decided to use a different idea. I still plan to write this fantasy novel, and on December 1, I picked up my notes again and started working on it. (My Profile for NaNoWriMo)
I was asked about my ideas in the last post, and I’ve pondered it on and off ever since I read the comment.
My favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy, and naturally, many of my ideas have to do with one or both. I’m also a hopeless romantic, so I can’t help it that there’s generally a relationship somewhere in the plot (though it’s generally not the focus). When I was on a huge Law & Order kick (I watched it every single time it was on TNT, and if you know how often they run the show, you can appreciate how big of a kick it was), I even fancied that I was into mystery, murder mystery no less. However, I don’t have the talent for it.

I had started a novel earlier, but today I started another story. It might be a novel, but I don’t know what the story is yet, so we’ll see. I started writing around 2a this morning when I was abandoned by the one friend who bothered to say hi to me yesterday. I have 684 words written so far.

Hello, everyone! This is where I’ll keep track of writing a novel and other original works. You can read about my word counts, my frustrations, my writers’ block, and my everything else. No actual works will be published here, but you may see some excerpts. Maybe.
